Two weeks old...

...and we're all still alive to tell about it. I must say that the past two weeks have given me an incredible amount of appreciation for what my parents went through. Parenthood could quite possibly be the most incredible job in the entire world that comes without any training manual or classes you can take. Our first two weeks with Fritz have definitely been the most challenging endeavor we have ever had to face. I don't think that I have ever been so unsure about what I was doing in my entire life. However, on the positive side of things, everyone that I have talked to says that's just the way it goes.

So, Mr. Fritz, in your first two weeks of life you have seen and done quite a few things. You saw the Twins become Central Division champions only to get swept by the (evil) Yankees in the first round of the playoffs. You have seen the Vikings start 5-0 for the first time in a lot of years. You went on your first walk. You experienced your first Schneeman family dinner and slept through the entire thing; you also went to your first Schneeman party - Uncle Pat and Aunt Danielle's engagement party. You were a hit! You also had your first visit to the bar when we went to Dad's 10 year high school reunion at O'Gara's. Again, you were a hit! I must say, it was quite entertaining to see all these guys want to get a chance to hold you. You had your first visit to Saint Thomas Academy where someday you may walk down the halls and be a student. You visited the historic Highland Watertower and climbed all the way to the top.

You also have caused many sleepless nights and frustrating days for us because as much as your mom would like you to be on a schedule, you keep tricking her and doing your own thing. That must be a sign of things to come.
